Gaijin Gunpla

Here’s a look at what’s inside the box of the Beginning Gundam which is accompanying me to Canada. The goal is to build it while on vacation and then post a review on Hobbylink.tv upon my return.

When I first saw it I thought it looked rather childish, however seeing it in person (and done professionally by the modelers of Hobby Japan and Dengeki Hobby). I can be swayed easily by plastic.

The parts look to be molded well with quite a bit of death which means I will be panel lining

The manual even has a section on adding detail. You can tell this was aimed at new modellers.

Yay, vacation!

I’m planning on getting this as soon as I can. I haven’t built a model in a while, I feel like a beginner again. I just don’t know what I’d do with that beam saber hand, it looks like it would be much harder to paint than the Garazzo’s.

I can’t say I’m a fan of the design (especially the color placement), but I believe you can make it awesome 🙂

I already order it it looks like a cross between the V Gundam and God Gundam but with more color I like it so is this a 1/1 or 1/144 scale?
