Gaijin Gunpla

It’s October and it’s time for our monthly entry regarding what’s going on around my desk and any other flat surface I can find on which to build plastic models.

First let’s look at what has been completed and is no longer on my work table.

The Exia Avalanche Dash Ver. S2 now has its place in the gallery section and on my work desk.  It turned out looking pretty decently with just minor effort and one rather large change.

And the ecopla Mk-II had some paint come its way along with some Gaijin Gunpla decal work.  It to can be found among the galleries.

On the Work Table – Projects underway

Several things are on the go at the moment. It’s a good thing I am writing this because I could easily lose track. Here we go!

1/144 RG RX-78-2 Gundam

I have’s Real Grade finished and panel lined, however the decals still need to be applied and the stand I want to make hasn’t been started yet. My RG, which will be Real Type Color, has an assembled frame but I will wait until I return before starting to paint the armor pieces.

1/100 MG Full Armor Gundam

This was the MG kit that the viewers wanted to see built on Gunpla TV. I have taken it home and worked on it a bit. You can follow my progress here.

1/144 HGUC Delta Plus

Construction has just been completed and modifications will soon begin. Still need to come up with a color scheme though. Read more about my Delta Plus here.

MG Sword Impulse

So far so good with the Sword Impulse. I really like the design of this suit even if the chest flyer and leg flyer seem a little bit odd to me. I really look forward to painting this but won’t rush the construction. See the Sword Impulse here.

Under the Work Table – Got it! Haven’t started.

Deathscythe EW Version

Really want to start this. I mean, I really want to start on this kit. However, with the other projects underway I felt it would be best to leave it until I can devote the proper time and attention to it. Still plan on adding wings.

Also mocking me…

MG Musha Mk-II Tokugawa Ieyasu Ver.(限定)
tokugawa mkii
Thought about starting it. I should be able to put it together quickly as I know the build and don’t plan on changing anything. So much to do, far too little time.

MG Zaku Cannon

I have not forgotten. After doing the after market parts video on I really want to pimp this thing out.

HGUC RX121 -1 TR-1 Hazel Custom

No, wait. I did the ecopla Mk-II! Scratch that one off the list. Yay, progress!

Coming to the Work Table – I want it!

1/60 Perfect Grade Strike Freedom Gundam

Thank you, Bandai!  I had wanted to try my hand at a Perfect Grade kit for some time, but also wanted to build the Strike Freedom at some point.  Well, now 一石二鳥  (Two birds with one stone)!   I eagerly await this.

Also, the 1/144 HGUC Sinanju is due out this month.  I need me a red Sinanju.  Another kit I am excited about is the  1/144 RG MS-06S Char’s Zaku II which is scheduled for November.

I’m really keen to see what you do with that Zaku cannon in terms of added detail.

Very interested also in watching you build a PG. You knock these things out pretty quickly and it will be interesting to observe as you experience the magnificence of a PG for the first time, particularly so because it’s a Ka design, it has the most runners of any PG yet, and it will probably be the most advanced in terms of design that we’ve seen to date as well. Added to that you will likely be one of the first English speaking bloggers to start building it. Should make for an interesting WIP.

Something lacking from this post though was a summary of where we left off last month and what progress has been made, what goals were achieved, and what was put on the back burner. This would make the work table series a bit more cohesive IMO.

Great idea about the progress from last month, Sonar. I have edited the post to show what has been completed. Backburner? I don’t know the meaning of the word! (yet).
