As usual, great work, glad to see Bandai got your replacement V-fin to you. This kit may need to be added to my top ten want list now that I have an idea how it would look using military colors.
Wow, nice work. The decals really bring out your color scheme, and your color scheme in this light looks so much better than your previous picture, it’s like seeing it completely new. 😀
That is a dry transfer that came with the kit. It wasn’t very difficult, but I made sure to take my time with it because if you wreck a dry transfer, it’s ruined for good.
The decal worked out quite well. The decals on the shield, however, were hit or miss. What type of tool do you use to press the dry transfers on? I find that a fingernail clipper works well.
Ya, the shield ones were more miss than hit but being dry transfers I didn’t get a second attempt. I use a toothpick to press the transfers on. I used to use the blunt end of my hobby knife but found it too large and it would obstruct the view of the transfer.
Those are just the stickers. I leave those off until the end so they don’t get handled too much and look ragged. When I decide not to use stickers I just paint using a clear green/blue/red, etc
Very good work!
I like the color scheme…

The back drop looks pretty good. Are you using a giant poster board? Shenlong looks pretty nice.
I am using a large sheet of paper with the color shift on it that are used frequently in photo studios.
I am amazed how well those colours work together! Great Job!
I like the colors, good job!
WOW! When I saw the shield I thought this gundam would be a little bland (no offence). But you totally blew my mind with this one; Keep it up!

Quick question: how hard was it to apply the decal on the curve of the left shoulder? I want to do something similar with mine.

Hi Jeff,

I like the color on this Shenlong. Nice.
Hey Syd, what’s your process for the eye/sensor colors? How do you get them to look so good and keep them so neat?
Hi Tony,
Those are just the stickers. I leave those off until the end so they don’t get handled too much and look ragged. When I decide not to use stickers I just paint using a clear green/blue/red, etc
Huh… well then somehow you put them on a whole lot better than I do… they look way better than stickers usually seem to.
Hey, what color and brand of paint did you use for that grey coat? I really like the look of it!
