The hottest part of summer continues. Over the past week nearly 8,600 people have been to emergency rooms suffering from heat-related problems and 15 people have died. So I stay inside. And build.

I first posted about this kit back almost four weeks ago, and though it didn’t take me four weeks to build it, I did finally get finished with the markings and can now consider it officially done. I’ll talk a bit about it and provide some larger images for those interested to check out.

For those who don’t know, this kit is identical to the RG Exia.

Except pink.

And that includes the weapons.

The RG stickers with the Trans AM version are slightly different than the normal RG’s but much of that is the need to print things in a different colour. Now the dark stickers are a maroon colour.

The silver weapons became silvery-pink!

I haven’t yet applied the stickers to the RG Exia (though I plan to!), but I really enjoyed doing in for the Trans Am Exia. I did it together with the RG Z’Gok and compared to some of the other RG kits, like the Freedom, the stickers are a breeze to apply.

The pink strips don’t look terrible, either.

I guess I could have ignored the RG Exia Trans Am because it’s the same as the regular release, but I don’t need a reason to build another RG other than it being an RG.

Would look nicer with Red clear parts instead of green. =]

No… the RG color scheme is right but the MG is NOT 🙂
Watch the movie when Exia in Trans Am mode. The GN orb at the chest, knee, elbow and both side of head is GREEN, not red as MG’s…
That’s why I bought this RG and not the MG although it was really2 PITA building this RG Trans Am since the material is very-very BRITTLE. So be very careful and buy at least two kit if You want a perfect result 🙂

I remember you mentioning issues with obvious Gate-marks on the normal RG Exia. Did that get changed at all with the glossy finish on this kit (undergates or something?)

Pink Exia! 3 times faster than normal Exia (Char’s custom). Hahaha…

The earlier promo images showed red strips and not pink, I don’t understand why they decided to make it pink instead.

But watch out for lower rear LEFT beam sbre handle. The small hanger must be broken everytime You just snap it as it is.
The pivot must be loosened first by art knife/sandpaper.
I bought it twice and both of ’em were broken at the SAME point; lower rear LEFT hanger of beam sabre handle
