I assembled the frame by sections; arms, legs, torso and then painted it that way. Aside from the B runner I did paint the completely gold runners with pieces still on the frame for the most part.
hi syd
do you have any problem on D4 parts when moving the railgun on the waist of the RG SF? i broke mine and got no idea to reinforce it when having the same new parts…
I broke that little peg that is underneath D4 when I was stupid and moved the railgun in the completely wrong direction when I was taking the kit apart to paint it. The only way I could fix it was to cut out the rest of the peg, drill space on the inside of D4 and use a small section of metal rod to act as a peg.
Nice job..love the pale gold
Beautiful job! Can’t wait to see your custom painted sazabi soon too 🙂
Hi Syd,
What kind of gold did you use? Is it tamiya or Mr.Hobby? I like the pale look on it.
Hi Kiko,
I used Tamiya TS-21 Gold for this one.
TS-21 Gold, really? Your’s looks pale, which is the kind of gold I want to get for my RG SF. I used TS-21 before but I thought it’s a bit too dark.
Hi Kiko, you mentioned that TS-21 gave a darker gold effect in the past. Did you use any layer of primer before applying the gold?
No, I didn’t. I actually don’t use primer and paints on the frames ’cause I thought it might stiffen the joints.
Awesome work, I just have one question Syd….Did you paint the frame in the runners, or did you assembled it first, then paint it?
I assembled the frame by sections; arms, legs, torso and then painted it that way. Aside from the B runner I did paint the completely gold runners with pieces still on the frame for the most part.
Thanks, Ill paint mine tomorrow
